If your children are like mine, they fight and argue a little too much. I was sure that since the kiddos are 4 years apart, sibling rivalry and squabbling would not grace our home. Boy was I wrong. Now don’t misunderstand, my children love each other very much and are quite close, but there are times when the fighting makes me crazy. So you can understand that I was a little apprehensive when my husband brought boxing gloves home and told the children they could box each other. I was sure it would turn into another thing to squabble about. However, it turned out to be quite a good time for all. Of course, my husband supervises the children when they are playing with the gloves and he has established ground rules to keep them safe. The children have a great time “fighting” for fun.
This is just one example of a myriad of things we do around here to keep our kiddos physically active and engaged. We are always looking for fun, cheap indoor things to do around summertime here in this desert. This one seems to be a keeper.

I think my girls were a little older, but I tied them together back to back. I told them the only fighting they should do is back to back, defending each other.

Kenny and Angela bought boxing gloves in Warrensburg, we had so much fun boxing each other! It does sound kinda brutal until you buy a pair and try them out. It is a great workout as well as great fun!
